Meet The Nutritionist: Stephanie Morrissey

Meet The Nutritionist: Stephanie Morrissey

What’s your educational background?

Bachelor’s of Business Administration

Certified Holistic Health Coach

What’s your nutritional philosophy?

I like to keep it simple! There’s a wealth of nutrition information out there, and it can be very overwhelming. I believe in listening to your body and eating real, whole foods that make you feel energetic.

Life’s too short to deprive yourself of joy and satisfaction. How we feel about ourselves and our bodies can positively or negatively affect all aspects of our lives. Eat nourishing foods, move your body, think positively, and the rest will fall into place.

Why did you become a Health Coach?

My interest in nutrition started when I was working as a Social Worker at Boston Medical Center with the top ten percent most vulnerable population. Whether my patients were disabled, homeless, or in recovery, nutrition was something I could focus on to help their mental and physical health.

After three years in social work I moved to Central America for two years. I lived on farms, studied nutrition, and became a certified yoga teacher. Experiencing the simple life on a farm in the jungle changed my life and I knew I wanted to create my own business.

Upon returning to the states I became a Certified Holistic Health Coach and started my own healthy meal prep service. Our business grew and grew, and before we knew it we were feeding over 400 families in Boston!

How long have you been working for KBK?

Since November 2018.

What’s the weirdest healthy food/beverage you love?

I’m obsessed with frozen grapes! Oh, and avocado and papaya with a squeeze of lime.

What’s your favorite type of workout?

I enjoy Orangetheory, boxing, running, and yoga.

What’s your favorite non fitness/food hobby?

I love spending time with my soon-to-be husband and our adorable frenchie, Bodhi. I also love to read and journal.

What’s your favorite KBK meal?

Salmon cakes, hands down!

What’s the best part about working for KBK?

I love everyone who I work with. It’s a gift to be able to connect with customers who want to learn and change so they can be a better version of themselves. Working for an inspiring company keeps me aligned with my own personal goals.
